Paul Martin

Physiotherapist and Director

Paul Martin - Physiotherapist - Physio Remedies London W1, Mayfair, Berkeley Square, Green Park

In addition to his role at Physio Remedies, Paul is technical lead physiotherapist at the English Institute of Sport (EIS). His work there is based on practitioner development in Paralympic Sport, where he works alongside Paralympic Sport practitioners in rowing, wheelchair basketball, paratriathlon and boccia, to name a few. He was also the lead physiotherapist for GB ParaSwimming (covering the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Paralympic Games), as well as clinical lead physiotherapist for ParalympicsGB at Rio in 2016.

As an “exceptionally mediocre sportsman” (his words), Paul gets his daily sports fix by concentrating on the capabilities of others – especially those who participate in football, rugby union, cricket, athletics, triathlon and swimming.

Paul has a degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University, and an MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy from UCL.

I've been really pleased and impressed with the care provided by Paul over the last few weeks - he's taken the time to understand the issue and has really listened to what I've been saying. I've seen a few physios, but I feel like Paul is the first person to 'get' the issue with my shoulder, and I've really valued the advice and treatment he's provided.

Paul Martin is amazing. In a very short period of time, he was able to identity the cause of my shoulder issue and give me some exercise to do. I have seen two other physios for some time with no real progress. Seeing Paul twice has pretty much fixed my issue. I am still raving about his competence.

I have seen a few physios for my shoulder injury until seeing Paul Martin. It took only one session for him to identify the cause and provide a remedy. I am very grateful for his service.

Throughout my six-year career at the top of elite-level sport, I have worked with Paul as my primary physiotherapist. Paul and his team have assisted me through rehab from major injury twice, and he was my physio throughout the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games where I won Gold and two Bronze medals over three disciplines in swimming. Paul's knowledge of sport, ability, the body and rehab is unparalleled. I would recommend him to any athlete or person at any level if they want to get the best advice and results.

Following my operation for a dislocated shoulder, Paul took the time to understand my goals, guiding me through the process to get my shoulder back to normal and even stronger than it was previously. To the point, accurate and trustworthy.

Really pleased with the treatment from Paul and would definitely recommend him.
