ALLISON SWAN

Physiotherapist

Allison Swan is a Hand, Shoulder, Spinal, Lower Limb and Sports Injury Physiotherapist with 25 years of experience, also specialising in Women's Health. She began her career at the largest university teaching hospitals in the North West, including the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Here, she worked under the supervision of renowned Clinical Physiotherapy and Upper Limb Rehabilitation Specialist Jo Gibson, as well as treating traumatic hand injuries in the Hand Unit. In parallel, she worked in elite sports at the premier league and national level, including rugby, football, hockey, and with the Women's Tennis Association.

Over the past decade, Allison has regularly attended international conferences, with standout events including the Isokinetic Sports Medicine Conference, which focused on knee injuries in football, the British Association of Hand Therapists Conference, the Foot and Ankle Conference, and more recently, the International Incontinence Conference.

Allison completed her MSc at the University of Western Australia, focusing on Manipulation/Manual Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation.

More than 12 years ago, she established her own private sports physiotherapy practice in Chelsea and Belgravia. Allison brings a wealth of knowledge in musculoskeletal care and treating the whole body. She experienced a traumatic hip injury herself after a skiing accident and made a full recovery using her own self-guided rehab after surgery.

Allison’s warmth and passion for what she does shines through, and she enjoys building trusting relationships with her clients, who return to her with confidence.
